As we’re likely about to sign with Arthur Rutenberg Homes to build our new custom dream home, I wanted to just take a minute on how this all came about. Eloy and I have been considering home options for a long time but couldn’t find anything worth us moving. I was consistently seeing the EvenTide ad in Living Luxe magazine that prompted us to visit your model home, the style of which we fell in love with. We are personally familiar with Living Luxe — the publisher, Pam Anderson, worked with Eloy in doing a feature on Florida bird life that became the front cover story about a year ago. It was a fantastic experience, and we got a ton of rave reviews from people seeing the story. And while we haven’t connected with Pam in a long while, were it not for Living Luxe — and seeing that EvenTide ad in every issue reminding us to visit — we may have never connected the dots we needed to in order to get the right new dream home.

EvenTide is a beautiful community, but in the end, we preferred the Intracoastal and marsh views so key to Eloy’s photography. From this all, it looks like AR Homes is getting a new custom home contract on our property, and it’s important that the company recognize the role that Living Luxe played. Ironically, Eloy got an email from Pam a few days ago exploring a story about some adorable bluebirds he photographed out back during the spring lockdown, and it occurred to me that Pam doesn’t even know about our new home plans or the fact that her amazing magazine factored into our decision.

If you go back to the Spring 2019 issue, Pam quoted me regarding Eloy’s photography taking over our house and the need to build a home to have a proper studio. I have to appreciate the coincidence of that story, EvenTide’s ad, and, of course, Living Luxe that made it happen for all of us. In fact, thinking back on all this now, Pam had even told me about the EvenTide community at the time and had encouraged us to visit, but she’s been unaware of all that’s transpired since!

Coming from a marketing background, I know how unusual it is for ownership to ever really know how effective (or not) their advertising is, so I wanted to spell this all out so that both EvenTide and Arthur Rutenberg Homes knows business is being generated from this magazine. He lives in The Carlisle (which are those beautiful condos across from the PV Lodge) and told me there are copies on each floor of the building. He noticed you had a color theme between the winter issue and this one. I hadn’t picked up on that but evidently he did and also enjoys each issue.
